Context
When Lightspark came to us, they were up against a market of closed, consultant-built point solutions in the energy efficiency world. They wanted to build a product that focused on the main user, the homeowner. The experience in energy efficiency at the time was fragmented, conversion to real home upgrades was low, and despite heavy investment, outcomes on energy, carbon, and resilience were marginal.

Idea
Lightspark's insight was clear: Build a powerful business data intelligence warehouse and start solving the full Jobs to be Done for the use cases, using that data to unlock decisions for homeowners. This meant shifting from one-off tools to a continuous relationship with the home — where homeowners can understand, improve, and track Energy, Carbon, and Climate Risk in one place.

Solution
Kumu partnered with Lightspark to turn that vision into a cohesive platform. We defined the brand, clarified the product thesis, and architected a unified brand experience built around three pillars: Energy | Carbon | Climate Risk. We then delivered the full system: marketing site, product UX, and content layer — all connected, all reinforcing a single product narrative.

Lightspark positioned itself as a plug-and-play platform leader with a clear point of view. Instead of stitching together consultant outputs, they now operate a scalable SaaS product that guides users from insight to action — driving measurable progress across energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and climate resilience.
